Pitt junior wins top international photography contest prize

Cathedral of Learning behind trees during Fall

Devin DePamphilis, a junior in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, was awarded the gold prize for illustration in the College Photographer of the Year competition for his photograph titled “Bye Bye COVID.” DePamphilis is an economics major with a studio arts minor.

In its 76th year, the international competition was hosted by the University of Missouri and sponsored by Nikon, Inc. More than 500 entries were submitted from students representing more than 120 colleges and universities across the world. In total, there were 76 winners across 22 categories of photography.
