Practice your language skills weekly with these 7 Pitt clubs

Students laugh and talk during a cultural event.

Whether you are preparing to study abroad, need to practice for a course or simply want a space to chat in your first language, Pitt’s language clubs are an opportunity to build your confidence and skills in a new tongue.

Check out fall dates for these seven clubs that meet weekly in the Global Hub. Drop in anytime.

  • Slovak Conversation Table: Tuesdays, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
  • German Club: Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • French Club: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • African Languages Conversation Hour: Wednesdays, 5-6 p.m. The language focus rotates weekly each month: week one is Arabic and Wolof, week two is Swahili and Amharic, week three is Yoruba and Akan/Twi, and week four is Haitian Creole.
