Give back to Pitt and have fun doing it

Your generosity on Feb. 22, Pitt Day of Giving, funds scholarships, enhances academic experiences, advances research, expands Pitt programs and creates valuable opportunities for our entire community. On 2.22.22 students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends come together to support their favorite area at Pitt — every donor and every dollar makes an impact.

It’s also a chance to have some fun. The Pitt Alumni Student Network’s Philanthropy Week runs Feb. 15-22 with a Pitt Day of Giving button giveaway, social media contests and more. And on the official Pitt Day of Giving, there are more activities planned:

  • A Day of Giving scavenger hunt from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with several cash prizes, including a grand prize of $50 to The University Store and $500 to designate to a Pitt-affiliated area of your choice. Find QR codes across 20 locations on campus to win.
  • A food pantry donation and sock giveaway at the William Pitt Union from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring a nonperishable item to the Kimbo Art Gallery to get a Pitt-themed pair while supplies last.
  • A portion of Saxbys cold brew and grilled cheese purchases on Feb. 22 will go toward funding the Panthers Forward debt-relief program.
  • For Pitt affiliates over the age of 21, the Young Alumni Network will host a Happy Hour at Mario’s Oakland starting at 5:30 p.m.
