Rebecca Reed, assistant professor of psychology in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, has been named a 2022 Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science, the leading international organization devoted to advancing psychology across disciplines.

The Rising Star designation recognizes outstanding psychological scientists early in their careers whose innovative work has already influenced their field of study and signals great potential for their continued contributions.

Reed directs the Psychoneuroimmunology Research Lab at Pitt. Her work focuses on biopsychosocial factors that contribute to healthy physical and cognitive aging. She uses biological and psychosocial measures in the laboratory and in daily life settings to examine these processes over time.
