ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Yu-Lan Tsai. I was born in the Netherlands, but after one year, my family moved back to Taiwan. Three years ago, I came to the United States to attend high school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. During my high school years in Lancaster, I overcame the challenges of language and cultural barriers. Now, I am a freshman engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh. The reason that I chose the University of Pittsburgh is because it has a good Engineering program. Furthermore, I also enjoy the city life that Pittsburgh offers. For the rest of my college years. I'm planning to major in industrial engineering.
Growing up, my broad interests lead me to try different things from various areas. For example, I’ve learned to play different instruments (violin, piano), playing sports (badminton, softball, soccer). Also, I enjoy facing challenges and meeting people.
Outside of classes, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, playing sport, reading, watching movies and exploring Pittsburgh. Traveling is my favortie. I have been to many countries(Italy, Netherlands, Indonesia, Japan, and China...)
