Multidisciplinary
Small Grant Program The Multidisciplinary Small Grant Program
is designed to enhance opportunities for the University’s
faculty to engage in multidisciplinary research, scholarship, and creative
endeavors. The program encourages
faculty with different skills and training to address complex problems that span the humanities, social
sciences, engineering, physical sciences, and/or the biological and health
sciences. Nontraditional collaborative alliances, e.g., between disciplines
in the humanities and the health sciences or between disciplines in
engineering and the social sciences, are strongly encouraged. The Multidisciplinary Small Grant
Program is sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the University Research
Council. Additional information
is available in the Application
Kit. Small Grants
Program The Small Grants Program of the Central Research Development Fund is administered by the Office of Research and the University Research Council. The primary goal of the Small Grants Program is to enhance opportunities for faculty, especially junior faculty, to engage in high-quality research, scholarship, and creative endeavors. The program is intended to provide funding support that cannot be obtained from other sources (including the faculty member’s department and school and external funding agencies). Small grants provide seed funding to develop new research ideas into self-sustaining, externally funded projects and funding in research areas where external funding is extremely limited. Additional information on the Small Grants Program is located on the Office of Research web site. |
