Rules to live by in the city of London or How not to piss off the locals and remember, it's a world of dampness out there in London...

There are several rules in the city of London that the kindred here must live by. These rules, as you will find, are hardly difficult to keep and after countless years of fascist rule, we who have managed to create a sort of peace in this fair city would like this city to stay as it is. So without further ado...

THE RULES...

• The Masquerade

  If you don't know about it by now, just stay out of this city

• The Progeny

  All new progeny must be presented to the Prince. The Prince reserves the right to deny the creation of additional progeny. Mind you that the more often you present a childe, the greater your chances of finding yourself viewing a sunrise.

• Hospitality

  Upon entering the city you will promptly stake yourself... no... well, actually, you will present yourself to the local head of your respective clan. Clan heads are then responsible for alerting the Prince to the presence of visitors in the city, and they are also responsible for the actions of these visitors for the duration of their visit.

  ** IMPORTANT NOTE **
  All visiting members of clans Ventrue and Tremere must present themselves to the Prince immediately upon arrival.

• Destruction

  Only when need be, and then only when I agree.

• The Rule of the Rules

  If you break any of these rules at any point in time during your stay in London, you will forfeit your rights and no longer be protected by any of the rules.

• The Rule of Cheap Melodrama

  Unnecessary whispering by kindred in order to create an air of melodrama about oneself is strictly prohibited in the city of London and is punishable by death.

• The Rule of the Princes Privacy

  Any meddling in the ongoing life of the Prince or the mortals he holds dear, will result in the most hideous and heinous demise ever immagined by either a human being or a member of kindred society. I would invite you to consult with others who have done so, but alas, they are all dead.

  NO ONE IS EXEMPT FROM THIS RULE, NOT EVEN JUSTICARS!!!

• Human Affairs

  There will be no meddling with the mortal government on neither the local nor national level other than what is deemed necessary to uphold the masquerade. All other manipulations are frowned upon. Let us let them try to run their world by themselves for once.

• The Rule of Two Names

  All kindred living in or visiting London MUST have at least 2 names. (ie. John Smith) If a Vampire comes into the city without 2 names, they must promptly give themself one. No one likes pretentious vampires.

• Rule 10

  Keep your arms and legs inside the car at all times.

• Rule 11

  When driving in the city remember that we drive on the LEFT hand side of the road. Thank you.

• Rule 12

  If you are not at least 40" tall, you cannot feed in london

• Rule 13, The Golden Rule

  Do not do anything stupid, and nothing stupid should happen to you
