About Summer Science Fun
Summer Science Fun at the Univeristy of
Pittsburgh at Titusville (UPT) strives to provide a fun educational experience
to students entering grades 4 to 12 by offering two week-long day camps
that bring various science
subjects together through hands-on projects, demonstrations, laboratory
work, field trips and sports activities. It is offered as a summer
enrichment alternative that provides an additional opportunity for students
to further explore science and expand their scientific capabilities.
It is a carefully designed program that offers its attendees a comprehensive,
balanced and in-depth summer exposure to science. The fun-packed
instructive activities are designed to stimulate the campers' interest
in and trigger their curiosity for science. The camps also provide
a place to meet new friends and an introduction to college environment.
Camp subjects are conducted by faculty members of the UPT Science Division.
All campers are expected to participate in all
program activities and be responsible and willing to comply with program
guidelines.
