Where can I go for help?
There is a lab assistant desk located at the end of the hall on the second floor of Blackington hall where the majority of the computer labs are located.  It is staffed during the lab hours.  They can assist you with any problems you might have regarding printing or using a software program.  To contact the lab assistant desk, call 269-7160 or x7160.
Why doesn't my password work?
You may have mistyped your password, or you may be entering an incorrect password.  If these suggestions failed, please contact Ralph Miller at 269-7194 or x 7194.
How can I change my password?
To change your password, go to http://accounts.pitt.edu/ and log in.  Follow these directions on how to change your password.
Why do I keep getting a message that says I am over my disk quota?
The University of Pittsburgh provides ten megabytes (MB) of AFS disk space for each campus computing account.  A very large e-mail message attachment and/or a significant number of old email messages can cause you to exceed your disk quota.  To view information on you quota status, go to http://accounts.pitt.edu/ and log in.  Then follow the link that says - View quota information.  If you are over quota you will need to contact Ralph Miller at 269-7194 or x7194.
If I printed without changing my default printer, where did it go?
If you do not select a printer prior to printing, your print job will be printed to the default printer that is located in the room you are in.  If for some reason the default may be changed make sure you look to see which printer is selected in the print dialog box before you say print.
How can I print single sided on a PC?
By default, applications on the lab computers are set to print double sided.  In order to print single sided, select Simplex from the list of available printers given in the print dialog box.
