Required GER classes: 4 credits
Psychology majors should take the following courses as part of their General Education Requirements.

MATH 0031 Algebra* (2cr.) prerequisite for STAT 200
STAT 0200 Basic Applied Statistics (4 cr.) prerequisite for Research Methods, Senior Thesis
CS 0085 PC Software for Business (3 cr.) or familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is RECOMMENDED as preparation for Senior Thesis

* Students who do not place into Algebra will need to complete additional prerequisite courses in Math prior to taking Algebra


Required PSY classes: 23 credits
a. PSY 0010 Introduction to Psychology (3 cr.)
b. Complete the following (before 60 total credits are earned):

Three of the following (3 cr.) CORE COURSES*
PSY 0105 Social Psychology (Dr. Daniel Milberg)
PSY 0160 Psychology of Personality (Dr. Randi Koeske)
PSY 0310 Developmental Psychology (Dr. Kristen Asplin)
PSY 1205 Abnormal Behavior (Dr. Diane Marsh)
PSY 1525 Neuropsychology (TBA)

* Note that each of the CORE COURSES is taught by a different instructor, so completing three of the courses will expose you to three of our faculty members.

c. One LAB course in PSY (4 cr.) It may be either:
PSY 0402 Experimental Learning (Fall - 4 cr.) (Dr. Diane Marsh)
PSY 0330 Experimental Child Psychology (Spring - 4 cr.)  
PSY 1228 Experimental Emotion and Motivation (Fall/Spring - 4 cr.) (TBA)


d. PSY 0032 Research Methods (4 cr.) (after 60 credits; prerequisite: STAT 200, Lab course)
e. PSY 1925 Senior Thesis (3 cr.) (after 90 credits; prerequisite: STAT 200, Lab course, PSY 32)


PSY Electives: 15 credits
Choose five additional courses.

Students may choose any remaining Psychology courses as electives, but no more than 6 credits of 1900-level courses (PSY 1910, 1912, 1913, 1972) and no more than 39 credits of Psychology may be taken unless more than 120 credits are earned.
