The political science major encourages students to analyze the theories, institutions, and processes of political systems; to develop continuing and responsible interest in political activities and public affairs; and to provide a basis for citizenship through a fundamental understanding of the nature of politics and political systems.
Political Science is one of the most attractive and adaptive majors for students seeking future in a variety of fields including law , public policy and administration, politics and government (at federal, state, and local levels), criminal justice, social studies education, social work, government affairs, journalism, organized labor, academia, and civic organizations.
