The Men's Tennis team is in their sixth year of competition for the 2006 season.  The Bobcats compete at the NCAA Division III level and are also members of the AMCC and the ECAC.

Season Review

The 2006 Pitt-Greensburg Tennis Team suffered through some growing pains, as a youthful team took their lumps.  The team, comprised of mostly freshmen and sophomores finished just 1-10 on the season, but they did set some milestones in the process, and the groundwork appears to be laid for a successful team in the future.

The first milestone accomplished this year occurred in the AMCC Championships, where the Bobcats earned a point with a doubles victory by Andy Laddusaw (Perham, MN/Pinelands Regional) and Matt Blinky (Pittsburgh, PA/Woodland Hills) in the number two slot.  The point is the first every in the AMCC Championships for the Bobcat program.  For their efforts, Laddusaw (freshman) and Blinky (sophomore) were named to the AMCC Second-Team All-Conference Team.  They became the first players in school history to earn such recognition in men's tennis.

For the season, Laddusaw led the team with three singles victories, and also picked up a pair of doubles victories.  Blinky, collected two singles wins, and led the team with three doubles victories.

The Bobcats had several other key players this year, led by sophomore Adam Dearborn (Aliquippa, PA/Moon).  Dearborn picked up two singles wins and one doubles victory.  Sophomore Robert Pulcini (Pittsburgh, PA/Woodland Hills) also notched two singles' wins for the Bobcats, while Patrick Smith (New Castle, PA/Neshannock) picked up one win in both singles and doubles.  Matthew Marsella (Yorktown, VA/Leavenworth) contributed two doubles' wins for UPG.

Other team members this year included, juniors Sam Tharakan (King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion) and Josh Thorpe (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin), and freshmen Michael LaFisca (Uniontown, PA/Connellsville), Nathan Romesburg (Delmont, PA/Connellsville) and Jon White (Scottdale, PA/Southmoreland).
