The
Community Service
Component
Students
involved in the OACS program find enjoyment in serving their campus and
local community. From working at the local Westmoreland County Food Bank and
Meals on Wheels to making Valentine cards for the local nursing home, OACS
members are often out in full-force in the local community.
OACS members have volunteered with local
non-profit agencies such as: Central
Westmoreland Habitat for Humanity, Westmoreland County Food Bank, Tri-City
Meals on Wheels, Weatherwood Manor, Adopt-a-Highway, Jeannette Head Start,
Verland Foundation, The Salvation Army, Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation (Western PA chapter), and the local American Heart Association
chapter.
