1. The following students presented papers and chaired panels at the 2009 Sigma Tau Delta International Convention held in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 25-29 March:

Kailey Burtnett, two presentations: "How the Navajo and Oraibi Indian Tribes Value Women" (Native American Literature), and "Friend's Cove: A Realistic Perspective" (Creative Nonfiction)
Deidre Stuffer, "The Silence of Rape: The Patriarchal Oppression of Women By Means of Violence within The Love of the Nightingale" (Contemporary British Drama). Deidre also served as a panel chair for a session on Robert Frost's poetry.
Goldie Swarner, "Rebellion for Entitlement," on Herman Melville's Benito Cereno (19th-c. American Literature: Race and Gender)
Michelle Sarver, session chair for a panel on Jane Austen

Faculty Sponsor, Dr. Elisa Beshero-Bondar moderated two conference panels, coordinating question and answer sessions after student presentations.
