WELCOME WEEK 2003


Summer Orientation & Academic Registration is only one phase of orientation at UPG. The second phase is known as Welcome Week. Welcome Week is a relaxed, fun experience that begins on Thursday, August 21, 2003 with MOVE-IN for all new residents. Commuters will need to come to UPG that day as well, in order to pick up their ID cards and other information pertaining to Welcome Week.

Due to space constraints, please bring no more than 2 guests

leave for Kennywood -- an amusement park, complete with thrill rides, games and shows (limit 25)

leave for Renaissance Festival -- go back in time to the Renaissance Age, complete with authentic food, costumes and entertainment (limit 15)

leave for Science Center -- includes Omnimax show and the new UPMC Sportsworks exhibit (limit 25)
12:15pm
 
 
 
leave for Laurel Caverns -- a 3-hour guided tour. YOU must supply your own flashlight, clothes that can get dirty and shoes with tread and ankle support (hiking boots). Those that aren't properly attired may not be allowed to go. (limit 15)
12:30pm
 
leave for Caddie Shak -- driving range, batting cages, go-karts, bumper boats, mini golf, etc. (limit 15)

Admission prices are paid for -- you are responsible for meals, souvenirs etc. Transportation provided!
You'll receive further information (early August) indicating how to reserve your space!
Admission will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.
