Cost to UPG Student: Full-time students $15.00 per semester, fee includes most over-the-counter drugs provided by the health center, and innumerable visits to the health center, nurse and the campus physician. Student is responsible for payment of all prescription medications and lab work.

We do not provide transportation for students to receive medical care, but will assist the student in acquiring anything that they may need.

The goal of the Health Center is to provide quality health care that is pertinent and flexible for each student at UPG.

Services include:

  • Initial assessment and treatment of health problems with referrals if necessary
  • Physician appointments on campus weekly, off campus everyday but Wednesday
  • First aid supplies and services
  • Allergy injections by appointment
  • TB testing
  • Flu Shots
  • Pregnancy Testing

As of 11/1/02 the meningitis vaccine is unavailable in the health center. The vaccine is available at "Passport Health", Monroeville, Pennsylvania, 412-372-4007. Please call this number for more information. Please refer to this website for updates to this situation

Self-Care Center
Visit the Self-Care Center for Cuts and Colds located in the health center waiting area: There is a complete set up of over the counter medications to assist you during the First two days of the common cold. There is also a small set up to assist with Minor cuts and abrasions.

Self care hours are as follows:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Weekends 11:00 am until 11:00 pm
