Required Courses (36 credits; 24 in writing and 12 in literature):
Writing majors must complete at least two of the following introductory
courses before enrolling in advanced writing classes:

NOTE:A third introductory course will not count toward the 36 credits required for the major. Students must complete at least one composition course above the level of ENGCOMP 0010 College Composition 1, before enrolling in a writing course.
Four related courses (12 credits) in an area approved by the advisor. The remaining six courses (18 credits) in writing may be taken in any combination of writing classes listed below:
