The Men’s & Women’s Cross Country teams, coached by first year coach, Joyce Brobeck, are in their 1st year of competition.  The Bobcats compete at the NCAA Division III level and are also members of the AMCC and the ECAC.  Our opponents include AMCC teams: Lake Erie, La Roche, Frostburg State, Pitt-Bradford, Penn State Altoona and Penn State Behrend.  We also compete against many of the best NCAA Division III teams in Southwestern PA.  While the Men’s & Women’s Cross Country programs are still young, we are excited about the direction they are taking.

Coach Profile
JOYCE BROBECK: Coach Brobeck begins her first year as head coach of the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams.  Fall 2002 will be the first season for both teams.  Coach Brobeck, an Irwin resident, most recently served as an assistant track coach at Penn Trafford High School, specializing in distance runners.  She has also aided the Pitt-Greensburg women’s tennis team as a conditioning coach and served the past five years as a member of the West Penn Track Club.   Brobeck is an accomplished distance runner herself, with more than 19 years of competitive experience.  “I am honored to have the privilege to start both the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country programs at Pitt-Greensburg.  I hope to share my joy and experiences in distance running with our student-athletes,” Brobeck said.
