| The Tanglewood Apartment complex located on Mt. Pleasant Road across the street from the Pitt-Greensburg campus was purchased in 1982. One year later 125 students took up residence in the newly remodeled University Courts. |

An addition to the Student Center was dedicated in November of 1985. At the
ribbon cutting ceremony were Dr. Alex McKenna and Linda McKenna Boxx. The addition
was made possible with a grant from the Katherine Mabis McKenna Foundation and
with the support of the Pitt-Greensburg Alumni in Westmoreland county

A brand new 22,000 sq. ft. residence hall was built on the Pitt-Greensburg campus in 1989. It was dedicated to the memories of John A. and Emma Robertshaw and their family. Robertshaw was one of the original members of the UPG Advisory Board. |
| Pitt-Greensburg President, Dr. George Chambers, announced a $19 million
dollar capital fund-raising campaign called Building The Future
in December of 1987. The following April, ground-breaking for a new 40,000
sq. ft. student center took place. The new student center opened in August
1989. It housed the dining room, snack bar, and lounge area, a gymnasium,
squash and racketball courts, running track, weight room, student affairs
office, a health center, and the campus book store. The student center
was renamed Chambers Hall in 1997 in honor of Dr. George Chambers

In the Fall of 1996 a second residence hall was dedicated. Designed
to house 106 students, College Hall provided much needed space for the
ever increasing number of resident students.
