Women’s Soccer Update

After defeating D’Youville 9-0 on Sept. 7, the Bobcats have been fighting hard to repeat their success but unable to come up with that second victory.

The Bobcats opened their week on Sept. 18 at Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference powerhouse Frostburg State.  A tough Bobcats effort was not enough as UPG lost 5-0.  Following the loss at Frostburg, the Bobcats returned to Greensburg to host AMCC foe Pitt-Bradford.  Once again the Bobcats fell short, suffering a 3-0 loss.

The Bobcats, 1-7 overall with a 0-2 record in AMCC play, host AMCC foe Penn State-Altoona on Wednesday, Sept. 26.  The Bobcats then have two days off before making the trip to Painesville, OH on Saturday, Sept. 29 to face Lake Erie College.

Men’s Soccer Update

The Bobcats stand at 2-4 overall with a 1-1 record in AMCC play following two games last week.  On Sept. 18, the Bobcats suffered a 2-1 road loss to Allegheny College.  Four days later, the Bobcats came back with a 5-2 win over AMCC foe Pitt-Bradford.

In the win, freshman Dave Tintera (Penn Trafford H.S.) scored one goal and added three assists for the Bobcats.  Tintera was honorable mention for AMCC Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week.
