Women’s Soccer Update
Bobcats Go 0-2

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Bobcats saw action twice last week against Waynesburg College and Bethany College, respectively.

On Saturday, Sept. 10 the Bobcats hosted Greensburg and managed to score three goals.  Unfortunately though, they surrendered five.  The Bobcats showed great resillence coming from a 3-2 halftime deficiet to tie the game early in the second half.  However, the Yellow Jackets proved to be too much in the end and the UPG team clearly tired as it was their third game in four days.

Following the loss to Waynesburg, the Bobcats traveled to Bethany College (Bethany, W. Va.) looking for their second win of the season.  Despite tough play, the Bobcats came out on the wrong side of a 2-0 score.

The Bobcats are 1-5 overall with a 0-0 record in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play. They will travel to AMCC foe Frostburg State on Tuesday, Sept. 18 before hosting AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Men’s Soccer Update
UPG Loses to Conference Foe

The Bobcats played just once last week, a disappointing loss at AMCC foe Frostburg State (Frostburg, Md.) 6-1.

Junior Bill McIntosh (South park H.S.) scored the Bobcats lone goal in the loss.  McIntosh was honorable mention for AMCC Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week

The Bobcats, now 1-3 overall with a 0-1 record in AMCC play, travel to Allegheny College on Tuesday, Sept. 18 before returning home to play AMCC foe Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, Sept. 22.

The win is the first of the season for the Bobcats, who are now 1-3 overall with a 1-1 record in AMCC play.  For her efforts, Christy was honorable mention for AMCC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week.

The Bobcats host AMCC foe Penn State-Behrend on Thursday, Sept. 20 and travel to Bethany College (Bethany, W.Va.) on Saturday, Sept. 22.
