The mission of the Pitt-Greensburg Alumni Association will be to support the University in all endeavors. We will work in conjunction with University leadership to advance Pitt-Greensburg through financial and other means.  We will strive to foster a strong learning environment for students, as well as a memorable college experience and we will endeavor to build a strong bond with all alumni, critical to achieving our initiatives.

Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in the Formal Dining Room, Chambers Hall on an as needed basis. Meetings are open to the entire membership (basic and active).

PGAA Upcoming Event

The next PGAA event will be an alumni outing to the Pitt-Oakland Homecoming football game on Octoboer 13, 2001.  Mark your calendar today to see the Panthers vs. Syracuse!  A block of tickets has already been reserved.  Anyone interested in attending the game with the alumni should call Jan Mitchell at 724-836-7496.

Basic membership is automatic for any graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Basic membership also includes those who have attended classes at the campus as well as friends of the University (at their request). These members will be informed of PGAA news through mailings and email.

Active membership (with full benefits) begins when a contribution of at  least $25.00 is made to the UPG Alumni Fund. Active membership continues each time an annual contribution is made to the UPG Alumni Fund in the amount of $25.00 or more.

Each new class of UPG graduates will receive a complimentary one-year active membership.

PGAA active membership year is from July 1 to June 30.

Sporting Events Discount

Show your PGAA membership card at UPG sporting events and receive $1 off  regularly charged admission. (Some UPG sporting events are free of charge.)

Bookstore Discounts

Redeem a coupon to receive a one-time, 20 percent discount on all purchases at the UPG Campus Bookstore (textbooks excluded).  Show your PGAA membership card and enjoy a year-round 10 percent discount at the UPG Campus Bookstore (textbooks excluded).

Facility Usage Discount

Receive $10 off the regular price for use of the indoor and outdoor athletic facilities.  PGAA members will pay a special rate of $40 per six month session. (The session calendar runs May 1 to October 30 and November 1 to April 30.)  Please call 724-836-9949 for additional information.

To apply, a PGAA member must:

• Complete an information form.  Also, a copy of a UPG transcript must be provided in order to process the form.
• Complete and sign a liability release form.
• Receive an ID card from the Office of Student Affairs, 219 Chambers Hall.  The ID is valid for six months, must be carried at all times while member is on campus, and is non-transferable.  A new ID will be issued for each session.
• Provide proof of health insurance coverage.
• Adhere to the Chambers Hall schedule.  There will be times when a particular facility will not be accessible.  Members may receive an updated schedule at the Chambers Hall Information Desk.  No refunds will be issued.
• Note: UPG reserves the right to limit the number of memberships.  Members are not permitted to bring guests to the facilities.

Receive a free Friends of the Millstein Library card (a $10 value), entitling you to borrow books and other materials from the library on the UPG Campus.  Call 724-836-9687 for additional information or check out the  Friends of the Millstein Library page for free events sponsored by the Friends.

Wedding Portraits
