SUBJECT: President’s Award for Staff Excellence
I am pleased to announce that the nomination process for the fifth annual President’s Award for Staff Excellence is underway. Enclosed please find program guidelines and a nomination form relating to this award created to recognize UPG staff members who have demonstrated excellence in the work place above and beyond their individual work responsibilities. Any member of the UPG community (Advisory Board members, faculty, staff, students, and alumni) may nominate a UPG staff member for this distinction.
I ask each of you to review the attached nomination materials and the work performance of UPG staff members with whom you are familiar. If you know of a staff member who has consistently demonstrated a pattern of excellent service or extraordinary dedication to the University as outlined in the program guidelines, please take advantage of this opportunity to recognize his/her contributions to the campus by nominating them for this year’s award.
This year’s winner will be selected in mid-March and the award will be presented at the Honors Convocation scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2003.
The President’s Award for Staff Excellence is one very important way that we recognize staff members for their valuable contribution to the campus. I encourage you to support this important effort by nominating deserving individuals.
