Whitney Waugh: Whitney is a first year graduate student in the Clinical/Developmental Psychology Ph.D. program. She is interested in studying the development of social skills and prosocial behavior in early childhood. In her free time she likes to keep active and be outdoors.
Jesse Drummond: Jesse is a first year graduate student in the Developmental Psychology Ph.D. program. He is interested in the development of prosocial behavior in early childhood. In his free time he loves to read and play Frisbee.
Stuart Hammond: Stuart is a postdoctoral researcher with a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Simon Fraser University and an MA in moral philosophy from the Université de Montréal. He is interested in developmental theory, empathy, self-regulation, and the role young children's interaction with parents during every day routines and chores in children's moral and social development.
Alyssa Marchitelli: Alyssa is the lab coordinator for the Early Social Development Lab. She graduated in 2010 from The University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology, and is currently enrolled in the Applied Developmental Psychology Master’s Program at the University of Pittsburgh. Alyssa aspires to work as a Child Life Specialist after graduate school.
Erin Karahuta: Erin is a senior majoring in psychology and German. She is currently working on her honors project in the Early Social Development Lab. Erin is also a teaching assistant and works at the University Child Development Center.
Dana Pettygrove: Dana is a currently a senior at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in psychology, and minoring in Spanish, political science, and statistics. After graduating, Dana hopes to go on to graduate school to study developmental psychology. In her spare time, Dana plays the piano and is currently training for her black belt in judo.
Gina Roussos: Gina is a junior Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Early Social Development Lab majoring in Psychology with a minor in Italian Studies. She is a member of Some of God's Children Gospel Choir and Musical Theatre Club here at Pitt and is also currently President of Pitt's Campus Women's Organization. She plans to go to graduate school for Social Psychology after graduation.
Emma Satlof-Bedrick: Emma graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Emory University in May, 2011. She is very excited to be volunteering this fall at the University of Pittsburgh with both Dr. Celia Brownell and Dr. Jana Iverson. She hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology.
Erica Njoku: Erica is a senior undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish, and a certificate in Leadership. Erica is a Resident assistant and on the executive board of the Resident Student Association. Erica plans to attend law school after graduation.
Elena Paul: Elena is a junior undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Psychology. After graduation, she plans to go on to graduate school to study clinical psychology and hopes to one day open her own practice. Elena also has an interest in the medical field and is a certified EMT. She is an active member of Active Minds, Talk About It, and the Panther Psychology Club. In her free time, Elena enjoys playing badminton and Frisbee.
Paige Sable: Paige is a junior at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Psychology and Sociology, with a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. She is involved with Panther Psych and various service organizations. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a degree in Developmental Psychology.
Jake Smith: Jake is a sophomore undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Psychology, minoring in Theater, and pursuing the ASL Certificate. He is a member of Psi Chi Honor Society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Jake works at UPMC Children's Hospital and plans on attending graduate school to work with children.
