By Titus M. JonesMy name, as you may have gathered from the above, is Titus Jones (I clarify that here because, quite frankly, I couldn't think of a better way to start my bio). I am an Engineering student here at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in either Computer or Mechanical Engineering, and I like cranberry sauce (naturally, that last detail is not quite as relevant as the other two, unless you sell Ocean Spray, but I decided to leave it in there anyway). As far as my background is concerned, I did not grow up as a "city boy", I was raised in the tiny town of Akron, Pennsylvania (NOT Ohio), which is located in peaceful Lancaster County. And for anyone who wonders, this is the same Lancaster County with the Amish, horse and buggies, lots of farmland and in the right season, lots of manure (for those not familiar with Lancaster, it lies somewhere between Harrisburg and Philadelphia). The first time I was in Pittsburgh was in my senior year when I came to an open house here at the University, and the second was when I arrived for classes this fall. I was homeschooled from kindergarten through my senior year of high school, which was definitely a really good experience academically, helping to me to get ahead and learn to study on my own, while I still allowing me more than enough social opportunities. I like to compete in pretty much any sport or game, especially soccer, basketball, ping-pong, pool, skiing, and combat simulation games such as airsoft, paintball, and lasertag. I like to read thriller fiction, older classics, the Bible and Christian devotional books, and pretty much anything else that seems worth my time. This may be partly evident from the previous sentence, but I also definitely consider myself a Christian, although for me this is more than my religion; this affected my life so drastically that now it pretty much defines who I am and in one way or another affects pretty much everything I do. I'm sure that I've left things out, so feel free to ask me, but hopefully this will give you a slightly better picture of me.
