What types of jobs do engineers do?

Microgrid Engineer

The purpose of a microgrid engineer is the take giant power grids, and shrink them down into microgrids inside peoples homes. This is a brand new idea, and one that I personally love. Each home will then be able to produce their own power through renewable means, then take the power from other grids that they can't produce when they need it, and place power that they overproduce onto these other grids.
The reason for microgrids is simple. Renewable energies are becoming more practical, and giant power grids are inefficient as much of the electricity put onto the grid is lost as waste and never even consumed. This is why microgrids and renewable energy combinations are the way of the future.

Circuit Engineer

The job of a cicuit energy is to design, you guessed it, circuits. This is a very general term because circuits can come in all shapes and sizes, from a small motherboard in your cellphone to a multi-slotted massive server motherboard. Circuit enegineers design the most efficient board possible, and are the reason why all of our technology functions.
Circuits are so important to our technological devices, so I don't think Circuit Engineers will ever be out of a job. Every device that uses any sort of logic, and even some that don't, use cicuits. They are everywhere, so making the most effective and reliable circuit boards is important.
