Kappa Chapter...

Then...

At the University of Pittsburgh in 1920, a group young women joined together
to present to University officials the idea of forming a local sorority based on high moral standards, ideals, and scholastic achievement. From this endeavor, Epsilon Pi Epsilon was born. After two years of success and achievement both individually as members and as a group, the organization was installed as the tenth chapter of Theta Phi Alpha, known as Kappa Chapter. The ceremony took place May 4, 1922. A ball was held in their honor on May 5 at the Hotel Schenely with two representatives from each sorority and fraternity on campus in attendance as well as many of the University's high-ranking Officials. Reverend C. A. Sanderbeck of St. Paul's Cathedral was appointed the sorority's first Chaplain.

... And Now.

Now, the Kappa Chapter of Theta Phi Alpha is a thriving group of young women,
intent on creating friendships and memories that will lasting a lifetime. One of the largest sororities at Pitt, we represent a diverse group of individuals, all with unique interests and traits, but all united under one common goal. We have sisters in nearly all student organizations on campus, ranging from the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band to Student Government Board, showing that we not only have a wide variety of interests but we also know how to manage time and commitment. Yet despite the wide range of activities, in the end, we are all close at heart and are always willing to share in a good laugh or cry.
