Nuno Themudo is Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh. His research and teaching interests include NGOs, civil society and world politics, transnational social movements, and the impacts of ICTs on networks and organizations. Before joining the University of Pittsburgh, he was a lecturer at the Centre for Civil Society at the London School of Economics and Visiting Professor at El Colegio Mexiquense, in Mexico. He has published articles in several international affairs journals such as World Development and Brown Journal of World Affairs as well as various chapters in edited books on international affairs.

Dr. Themudo’s professional experience includes work with a number of nongovernmental organizations such as Amnesty International, the Coalition to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers and several environmental NGOs in Mexico and Portugal.
