About Us

Tau Kappa Epsilon is a fraternity of tradition and expansion. Established in 1899 at Illinois Wesleyan University, TKE has more chapters than any other college fraternal organization. The Tau Phi chapter here at the University of Pittsburgh was chartered at the centennial anniversary in 1999 and has a personal focus on its members. The prime focuses of TKE are Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Teamwork, Service, and Brotherhood. With these we make the fraternal experience an enjoyable and memorable part of college life. Our essential elements are Love, Charity, and Esteem. We believe in true friendship and close brotherhood. Tau Phi is a personal chapter where everyone knows your name and truely is one of your brothers. Not for wealth, rank, or honor but for personal worth and character.
