My name is Tyler Anthony DeGirolamo. I was born in the Chicago area, and my family moved around till I was thirteen years old. I went to high school at Belleville West High School. I played soccer and tennis all four years of high school, and was named captain of my soccer team in my senior year. I graduated valedictorian in my class of 625. I graduated with a 5.0 GPA.
I came to the University of Pittsburgh in order to be closer to my brother and my two nephews. It didnt hurt that the university named me a Chancellor’s Scholar, which is a scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh. I chose engineering because because I have always been good at math and science. Also my brother is an engineer, and I hear nothing but good thing from him about the profession.
