This illustrates that these children were exposed to alcohol during pregnancy. It also shows that they were consistently smaller in weight. So even children who were exposed to fairly moderate amounts of alcohol, even moderate to light alcohol consumption seems to be having an impact. The cruelty of all this is that these children are not picked up by anyone; there's no diagnosis or treatment for them, and nobody's looking for these kids because nobody puts these kinds of features together to think about the fact that these are affected children but they're not easily discerned, unless you have a cohort like we do.
