When we talk about primary prevention, our work has focused not as much on what so many studies have focused on, barrier methods of contraception, but on two other things. We’ve asked a lot of questions about hormonal contraception and STDs and PID. Another line of work is a study that we have in the field looking at the relationship between douching and the acquisition of STDs and PID.
