No significant decline though the rate of visible disabilities
(grade-II) has reduced from 9.63% (1985) to 6.8% (1997) among the new cases. 599666 cases
with grade II are accumulated for care in addition to disabled cases registered before
1985. Grade I ( just anesthesia of limbs) is not included as the data is not generally
available.
