Doctor Sue Wilson is a Senior Research Fellow based in the Department of Primary Care and General Practice at the University of Birmingham in England. Sue has worked in the department since 1995 and has a Public Health background, primarily related to Cancer epidemiology.Her PhD related to the utilisation of routinely collected cancer surveillance ( cancer registry) data. 

Sue’s current research interests centre around the design and conduct of high quality research within Primary Care. Her research activities are focussed upon primary care epidemiology (irritable bowel syndrome, dyspepsia, thyroid dysfunction, mental health), Cancer Epidemiology (particularly screening) and pre-hospital care (ambulance utilisation and A&E). She has further specialist interests in the conduct of systematic reviews and dissemination of research skills in the above clinical areas.
