The Table shows a Logical framework ,examining the Problem of Maternal mortality in a Developing Country and the plan to train Birth Attendants who will provide basic supervision of all deliveries.

These women will have sufficient training to maximize cleanliness, to use a sterile blade to cut the cord and give an oxytocic preparation to minimize bleeding in the third stage.

They will also know how and when to call for help.

There may be problems in gauging the success of the project as records are poorly kept and often unavailable. It is difficult to get funds for even simple evaluation.

The sustainability of the project will depend upon continuing to motivate, train and pay women for this task and an appreciation of their role by the village women.
