Globalization also presents us with many other issues that need to be addressed. One important one that comes to mind is that of consumer protection. We must find strategies to empower communities to protect themselves against the dumping of marketable goods and the transference of cultural practices that may be harmful to their health and that may endanger their well-being. In developed countries consumer movements have been very successful. It would be very useful to imitate them in developing countries as part of HP infrastructure.
