Open source concept seems to get its momentum even in the area of biomedical science and also in higher education.

The importance of information sharing and knowledge dissemination is already well-established. Researchers and publishers try to improve the quality of biomedical science through knowleege sharing.

These are the major examples of this open movement in this area.
