About half of the
disagreements were because of problems in data capture by NHSCR. (In a few
cases, the NHSCR site code probably indicated the site of biopsy of
metastatic disease rather than the site of the primary tumour.)
About half of the disagreements were because of a different diagnosis. (In a few cases, this was because better diagnostic techniques, like immunocytochemistry, are now available).
