The effects on physical health of two micro dimensions of risks – personal health habits and social connectivity –were predicted better by the multilevel model because the significant structural effect was included in the hierarchical regression. Social cohesion was a significant predictor of physical health in both regression models. Educational status, health habits (except alcohol use), and social support were not significant variables in the logistic model.
