Let's go back to Bangladesh again. Bangladesh were having problems with eggplants.  This is a staple food in Bangladesh.  They couldn't get enough because of pests.  BT eggplants were made, and now Bangladesh produce so much eggplant, they can't eat it all.  They have to export it.  Interestingly, farmers in the neighboring provinces in Assam in India, where they were having the same problem, but India has a ban on GMO's, the farmers go over to Bangladesh and get the seeds and grow it themselves and just don't tell the government.
