Now I'll go quickly through one or two diseases that have threatened countries in Africa that can be solved very easily.  First of those is Xanthomonas wilt. This is a bacterial disease that is killing bananas.  There is no natural solution so one cannot traditional methods in order to solve it.  There is no version of banana that is resistant naturally to this.  But sweet peppers have two genes in them.  If you move these genes into banana and now banana is resistant to Xanthomonas wilt.
