When performing START just “map in your mind” the  visual is of a street light. These are the triage categories. Traffic light are your categories and include black for death and white for walking and no injury.

Remember 32 Q for criteria” greater than 30 respirations, greater that 2 cap refill and not able to follow verbal cues; these are you red categories,green walks,blaceblack is dead, white can walk and have no injuries and all the rest are yellow.
