Magnum Opus supposes existence of a sample of cases where each case is described by:

number of attributes, doesn’t matter if they are qualitative or quantitative values (attribute-value data)

or

number of items (basket data)

Problem is:

Find ‘knowledge’ describing relationship between attributes/items, so called association rules, something like:

IF (attributei is less-equal-greater-then vi and …attributen is  less-equal-greater-then vn) THEN (attributej is less-equal-greater-then vj )

or

IF (itemi & itemk & … itemn) THEN itemj
