If a unit passes testing, the letter issued to the approval holder informs them that their units were purchased and tested under the product audit program and that there is no action required on their part.  If the unit fails testing, a Certified Product Investigation Process (CPIP) is initiated.  The letter to the approval holder will advise them that they must conduct an investigation into the failure, identify the root cause and provide resolution.
