So what did we find?

Presented here are the results of the first age sex adjusted model and the final multivariable model.

Not surprisingly, age was an important determinant of health –the odds of poor health increased almost exponentially with age.

Gender was also important with women having 3.5 times odds of poor health compared with men.

This fits with almost all other studies of self perceived health which find worse health status in women although based on this study and others in Russia, the gender gap appears to be wider in the FSU than in western Europe.

Nationality had no impact on health and the results are not shown.
