1. MHAUS

The Malignant Hyperthermia Association of United States (MHAUS) was formed to provide support services to patients who want to know more about MH and to families of those who have died as a result of MH. It is the only association in the United States dedicated to education of patients and medical professionals and research to improve understanding and medical care of MH patients. The Association was founded in 1981.  North American Malignant Hyperthermia Registry (NAMHR) is one of the subsidiaries of MHAUS. To learn more about MHAUS and the Registry, you can visit their website.

2. NAMHR

The North American Malignant Hyperthermia Registry (NAMHR) was formed to act as the repository or main database of patients with MH susceptibility and similar syndromes. The Registry’s primary objective is to acquire, analyze and disseminate patient- and family-specific clinical and laboratory information related to MH susceptibility to researchers and clinicians caring for MH susceptible patients. It is also involved in the investigation of the epidemiology of MH. Both goals aim to eventually improve diagnosis, treatment and prevention of MH episodes. It was founded in 1987 and merged with MHAUS in 1996. To learn more about the Registry, you can visit their website
