This is an aerial view of the National Prawn Company, located in Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea coast not far from where I’m currently working. NPC is the largest producer of marine shrimp in the world..  This farm takes in a veritable river of sea water, distributing them among all of these 10-hectar ponds, each of which produces some 80 tons of shrimp a year.  Overall, this facility produces 18,000 tons of shrimp a year.
