The kinetics of chloroform elimination in alveolar air following the exposure of a swimmer in an indoor swimming pool was studied in one subject in four swimming sessions. ( ambient air mean value: 139 ± 25 µg/m3)

Chloroform elimination usually stops within ten hours: the biological half-time is very short and ranges from 20 to 27 min.
