Due to the difficulty to collect blood samples in healthy subjects the feasibility of end-exhaled air (alveolar air) sampling was investigated. Each value represents the mean level of chloroform in alveolar air samples collected from swimmers present in each swimming pool. (range: 14 - 312 µg/m3)
