A shared vision is crucial to creating ownership. Individuals can not feel ownership unless they have been included in the development process. It is as simple as that. If I don’t know, understand, or have not been part of the decision making, I am an outsider, and whatever has been developed is not part of me. This creates an attitude of disinterest and disrespect, and does nothing to improve the health of a community.
